The Tale of the Hungarian Vintage Shop

Thomas, a 19-year-old kid, had been saving for months for his travels to Paris. One morning he went to the bank to make a deposit. The teller asked if he wanted to deposit the check or use it to pay off his overdraft.

"Overdraft? I don't have overdraft." Said Thomas.
"Yes, you do." The teller informed him.
"No, you see, I'm saving up. ..." Thomas assured the teller.
"No, you've been spending quite a lot. In Hungary, it seems." The teller explained.

The records showed $2,000 had been spent in a Hungarian vintage shop in Budapest, Hungary. It took months to solve the issue. Statements showed a $6 purchase had been made at a gas station in Florida and hour’s later purchases of $400 were made in Budapest.

Scammers are all over the world and will target anyone that is not careful.
